1971 Corvette LT-1

One of the most exciting Corvettes ever produced, the LT1 boasted a high-revving small-block engine that produced huge torque and horsepower and was an absolute blast to drive. Compared to the big-block alternatives, the LT1 provided the same basic power concept, but in a lighter package, thanks to the smaller engine, thus lending a much better handling and overall driving dynamic. This 1971 LT1 has the solid-lifter 350/330 HP V-8 engine with 360 lb-ft of torque and a 4-speed manual transmission.

Equipped with power brakes, a tilt steering column, tinted glass, a luggage rack and chrome mirrors, this Corvette, in its correct color of Ontario Orange with a Saddle Tan interior, is an inspiring machine that encourages driving. The engine is dressed with finned valve covers, and the T-Tops are ready to be popped off for a fresh-air excursion down a favorite road. The chrome-bumper LT1 Stingray rolls on Rally wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich radial tires. Just under 2,000 1971 LT1 Corvettes were built, with a hair under 5,000 built between 1970 and 1972, marking them as fairly rare vehicles indeed.

They originally cost more than Corvettes equipped with the 454 CI V-8, but there was a lot of engineering behind the small-block, and as mentioned before, the driving experience is very involving and very exciting.
